Amanda and Matt: Kelowna Anniversary Photo’s
I have wanted to do a session like this for such a long time. Shoot a session like this, and BE in a session like this. Your wedding day comes and goes so quickly and all that money and time spent on planning also gets forgotten quite quickly. Kids come along and your life so quickly changes from wedding favours, and vendors, to diapers, bottles, and playdates. Romantic date nights out turn into movie nights at home after the kids have gone to bed….praying they don’t interrupt the movie. Dinners out used to be at The Keg, or Restaurant 52, or Raudz…..they are now at Boston Pizza, or “What?! EAT OUT?! the kids would destroy the restaurant!” (or in my case, wouldnt sit long enough to even eat)
It sounds like not much fun, but it is! Those kids are your world and you wouldn’t trade your amazing family life for anything!!….BUT there are those brief moments together that make you think nostalgically….remember when it was just us? Marco and I had one of those moments a few weeks ago, watching Luca destroy the living room…..I looked at him and said “How did we get an almost 2 year old??!” Life goes by so quickly….it’s so worth cherishing every minute together…whether it’s alone or with the entire gang.
On that note and with all that in mind….Amanda and Matt had the fantastic idea of re-doing their wedding photos to celebrate their 5th wedding Anniversary which they celebrated last week. (CONGRATS!). Amanda was pregnant on their wedding day, so her photos didn’t turn out quite the way she had always imagined. They now have 3 amazingly gorgeous kids, two boys and a girl (did I mention how fantastically adorable they are?!?!) and a busy busy life. Matt is a custom builder of homes in Kelowna, and Amanda does tons! She is an amazing Mom (who looks incredible after having 3 kids I might add…..definitly a tad jealous!), makes cozies (which are fabric sleeves for to-go cups-I have one and I LOVE IT!) and she is currently selling bracelets that keep mosquitos away! She just got some more in and I ordered enough to last us our entire camping trip!
I had such a blast spending the evening with them!!! Happy Anniversary! :)

Wow. If you ever want to “practice” and try another session like this….I’m in! Not that you need practice though – just offering! :) You did an AMAZING job, and what a gorgeous couple and location too! Great work!

Let me ask Matt! Do you think the dress would get wrecked? Or just dirty? I’m not wanting to cut it up or anything…like i’ve seen in some shots :)
It would just get dirty! Not cut, or ripped or anything!
Matt is for it…as long as it’s not my dress (HA HA). I asked him what he thought and he said “oh please, no”. So….unless you know of a dress I could use…I’m afraid i’m out. Would LOVE to do that tho :)
