I blogged! haha it’s been so quiet on here, but INSANELY busy behind the scenes! So many sessions and weddings waiting in the lineup I can’t WAIT to share with you!! Up first is a Canadian Navy themed wedding at the Quaaout Lodge Hotel at Talking Rock Resort that was absolutely perfect!

Jessica kinda married a pirate. Des is in the navy so he gets to carry a sword, and he’s a lawyer so he can argue his way out of any situation. EXACTLY like a pirate! He also goes out of his way to make people laugh. Everyone around him all day was always smiling from ear to ear, and his creative photo ideas had us all cracking up!

Jessica herself is a bit of a superhero too! She’s an ER nurse and one of the sweetest, most thoughtful women I have ever met! Her entire day was focused on bringing their family and friends together and celebrating each other. She is soft spoke, but has a quiet strength that just draws people in! When she smiles at Des, her entire face lights up and it’s so obvious she’s met her match!

With Des being in the navy, they decided to base their entire theme around it and it was PERFECT! The small anchors here and there, the navy blue with gold accents, it was the perfect colour combination for their stormy wedding day at the Quaaot Lodge Resort on the North Shore of Little Shushwap Lake! They had the MOST adorable flowergirls who I just fell head over heels in love with as well! They spent a good chunk of time at the candy bar “making sure everyone was ok”, and wanted to see every photo of themselves to see how pretty they looked! They were so free spirited and running around and at one point exclaiming, “why does everyone keep taking so many photos of us?!?!”We finished their photos literally moments before the skies opened and the rain POURED! Harder than it has in SUCH a long time!! It made the reception feel extra cozy and romantic!

A HUGE thank you to Taliah for second shooting, and acting as road trip, car singing/dancing and Starbucks partner! It was so fun! :)

Des and Jessica! It was SO amazing getting to spend the day with you two! It was a magical day that fit who you two are so amazingly! Thank you SO much for including me :)
