This couple is amazing! I was so excited when Stephan emailed me to inquire about their wedding photography! I have known Stephan since I was in Grade 8. I was BFF’s with his older sister and spent a lot of time at their house! I don’t remember Stephan too much from back then, but he has grown up into such a great person!

Their story gives me goosebumps, and of course a tear or to. It’s amazing!

Stephan and Samantha met in Kindergarten! While Samantha was playing barbies, Stephan was busy kissing other girls! They were Valentine’s in Grade 7, and Stephan bought her a pair of earrings! They lost touch and Stephan said when he saw her again in Grade 11 he knew he wasn’t going to let her slip away. On their first Valentine’s day together again he bought her another pair of earrings. Such a romantic!

When Samantha got back from Europe a while ago, Stephan told her over lunch that they probably wouldn’t be able to get engaged for quite a long time. Samantha, like any girl, was so upset and “pouted” for the rest of the day! Later on, back at her car, she found a note written in “poetic form”. On it was directions for a scavenger hunt! All of the clues took her to places significant in their relationship. It ended with their first date, where Samantha had invited him to a soccer game! (Samantha is an amazing soccer player for the UFV women’s team!).

Stephan met her in the middle of the field and proposed! Samantha said she was shocked, excited, happy, and kinda mad! All that being upset for no reason!

 

 

 

 

Stephan: “I love Samantha for her beauty, her intelligence, sense of humour and her ability to love. But not only that…she makes an impact. She is the perfect person to start a life and a family with.”

Samantha: “Stephan has stayed the same since I met him in Kindergarten. He is so true to himself. He knows what he wants, and who he is. And he has been right there in front of me since I was 5!”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Stephan: “Samantha’s beauty kicked me in the butt the first time I saw her. I had a few blubbering idiot moments that’s for sure! Now I am so in love with her capacity to love.”

Stephan: “I am most looking forward to hearing, “I now present to you for the first time, Stephan and Samantha Legal!” I will be so proud to hear her with my last name. So will my Dad.”

Samantha: “I can’t wait to be his wife after all these long and happy years together…and to share that with all our family and friends.”

I had such a great time with you guys! I can’t wait for your wedding next July!
