Trevor and Kelly planned their wedding at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge in Egmont BC, over on the Sunshine Coast this past Fall. It is STUNNING. Like you can’t stop staring stunning. Everyone knows I happily take mountains over ocean anyday, but this view gave my mountains a run for their money. The weather was perfect, the decor was vibrant and colourful and matched Kelly’s personality to a T!

I first met Trevor and Kelly through mutual friends and was so excited when they inquired about doing their engagement photos last Fall along the Chehalis River! I had a great time getting to know them both! Kelly has a vibrant personality and she isn’t afraid to speak her mind! She goes after what she wants, and I love that she has such a strong sense of what she wants for her life.

Unfortunately weather and location wise, their first session missed out on the sunset Kelly was hoping for, so this summer we both said “let’s do them again!” The weather didn’t cooperate for the first few dates, but finally we got this sunset (check them out HERE). It was SOOO worth the wait!! It was GORGEOUS!

Kelly and Trevor laugh so easily together. Trevor is the strong and silent type, he encourages her to be herself and supports her big ideas in life. Having lost two people close to them in recent years, it was really important to Kelly to have an epic sunset for her photos to feel like they were close to them both and watching over them both as they celebrated this happy time in their lives.

Everyone gathered on the deck and watched these two become husband and wife with the ocean in the background and there were many many tears shed as they shared their emotional vows! Having lost two people very very close in Trevor and Kelly’s lives, they lit candles with their siblings at the reception and again had another round of tearful hugs. There was so much love for these two the entire night and I am so grateful I got to be a part of it! :)

ps. I am super behind on blogging, mostly cause I love these last few sessions/weddings so much I’ve selfishly been holding them minorly hostage for fear no one will love them as much as I do. But I need to get over that and start showing off these ridiculously amazing couples!
