Adam and D’arcy: Langley Engagement

Adam and D’arcy are one of the quirkiest couples I have worked with and I love them for it! They met when they both worked at Convergy’s Hall in Kamlopps on the FedEx Project. Adam worked at the help desk, and D’arcy was the one who asked all the questions!

We met in Langley, under the bridge to get their engagement photos. Little did I know, right next to the bridge is the sewage treatment plant! After about twenty minutes the air was pretty still and we just had to move somewhere else! We headed down the road to this gorgeous field! The sun started shining and a few minutes later GIANT white snowflakes started falling! It didn’t look real! Sun and snow at the same time! I am in love with those pictures! :)

Adam proposed to D’arcy at home. They had already chosen an engagement ring together a few weeks earlier, but it was still a surprise! He popped the question using a ring that was his mothers! It took D’arcy a second to realize he was actually proposing and not just being silly! She of course said yes!!
When I asked Adam why D’arcy is the one he had the best response!

“Cause she is. It’s been very natural and open from the begining. I think we compliment each other nicely. We both have our areas of strength and weakness, and there is some overlap of course but mostly it just fits right. like 2 peices of a puzzle. She’s perfect for me.”

D’arcy loves how opinionated Adam is and know’s he’s the one “
because I can be the true me around him. Since day one I’ve felt like he loves me for me, that I don’t have to act a certain way or look a certain way in order for him to love me. And it’s felt like we’ve always been together. From the first kiss it was like we’d always been.”

I can’t wait to photograph their uniquely themed wedding this May in New West!! :) Be sure to check out their wedding website here!

“The first thing I noticed about him is his ability to be opinionated and not care what others think. And his insane memory for all things music, cars and random facts about Star Trek. The quality I love most about him is humour. He is absolutely hillarious and so much fun to be around.”

“She started quite shy and a little timid, very big bright smile, little hard to read when we first met before being friends, or dating. It’s a little funny cause once she opens up we are fairly similar, which we were told by mutual friends before we noticed it. We started a little opposite in a lot of ways, but we are alligned now. “
