Rajni started emailing me back around Christmas of last year about doing engagement photos in BC. Her and Arvind live in Calgary, but dreamed of having their engagement photos in the pacific northwest! She wanted green trees, and rivers and lots of vibrant greens and blues. She originally had her eye on Mill Creek Park in Kelowna, which is just about the only place in the Okanagan that resembles the coast at all! We had set plans and everything was a go….and then Kelowna flooded. Mill Creek was one of the affected creeks that flooded and we found out two weeks before their session that the park was closed until further notice. Not wanting to risk driving all the way from Calgary to find the park still closed, I sent her a ton of location options for the lower mainland.

She instantly fell in love with Cascade Falls for it’s suspension bridge, forest and waterfall. It literally has everything!! I met her and Arvind there and it was SO hot! It was one of those first super hot days of the year, but they rocked their long sleeves no problem :)

These two are so easy to talk to! They are quick to smile and when Rajni smiles it lights up her entire face! And doesn’t she look JUST like Princess Jasmine?! I kept telling her I’d never photographed a Disney Princess before ;) Arvind proudly showed off his new blue suede shoes he’s gotten on his bachelor party the week before in EUROPE! He’d gone for a 10 day tour with a few friends, while Rajni had spent hers at a spa in a resort in Mexico! I like how they celebrated their bachelor parties ;)

I had the best time exploring Cascade Falls with these two and getting to know them better! They are truly two beautiful people inside and out and I am so glad and honoured they drove out from Calgary just to have me photograph them!! You guys are the best!!!
