Manning Park Wedding: Mike and Robin

Mike and Robin got married at Manning Park at the end of September, one of our most favourite places in the entire world. Manning Park is special to both of us and watching them tie the knot overlooking the mountains up at the alpine, with their two sons and parents as witnesses was so sentimental. Thank goodness I have a camera to hide behind….there may have been some tears! ;)

It’s no secret I adore elopements. I love the simplicity of them, how relaxed they are and how the focus is entirely on the bride and groom. I especially love when they’re in meaningful places, surrounded by nature…those middle of nowhere locations that make you hold your breath. You know right there in that moment, that this is one you’ll get sentimental about for yeaaaaars. That’s the best.

Robin got ready with just her Mom and we headed to the lake to do a first look with her Dad. It was so sweet watching her Dad nervously wait for her to get there. He had some tears and looked SO proud as he walked her towards Mike for their first look. Mike is the kind of guy that guards his emotions and keeps his thoughts close to his heart, but you could see how moved he was by the sight of Robin. I mean how could you not be?!

Loving Manning as much as I do, Robin had all her spots picked out for photos and they were all the same ones I was going to suggest. She’s also a fellow photographer, so we were on the same page all day!

We drove up the alpine meadows for sunset photos, and right after the sun dipped below the mountains, they exchanged their vows overlooking one of my favourite views in the entire park. It was AMAZING.

Mike and Robin, THANK YOU so much for having me as a part of your elopement! It meant so much to me and I loved every minute of celebrating with you both!

*A huge thank you to my awesome second shooter Dan for hanging out with me for the day!
