Last night was Marco’s Work Christmas party at the Sparkling Hills Resort in Vernon. It was AH-MAZING! I smiled like a kid in a candy store for the first hour I think…When we got in the elevator Marco actually told me to “calm down cause I was embaressing him” hahaha! It was just the most amazing place!

We checked in at 2:30 and headed up to our room, which was to DIE FOR!!! It was so European and crystal accents everywhere!

These blue crystals were in the spa..there were windows in the wall that were just full of floating coloured crystals…absolutely gorgeous!

These crystals were f loor to ceiling in the spa foyer. Simply gorgeous!

In the front entrance to the hotel, looking up there were three HUGE crystal chandeliers! Absolutley stunning.

So so so sparkly! I could have taken pictures of the crystals all day!

Such a gorgeous picture! The man that worked at the front desk told us all the crystals for this were HAND PLACED! So amazing!

The colours that come off these crystals is just stunning….every photo I took had a different color scheme to it!

This corner was on the wall that seperated the bathroom from the bedroom. It was stunning!

This was the crystal fireplace in our room! When it was turned on it didn’t let off any heat that we noticed, but it flickered orange, and red and yellow, it was absolutly gorgeous!

These crystals were hanging from the ceiling on the way down to the wine bar. I think they are my favourite!

After exploring the hotel, we had drinks with Chelsea and Aaron. Chelsea works with Marco and John (Marco’s Dad) and Aaron also works for Investors Group! After drinks we hit the saunas and pools and W.O.W.! There is no great way to explain how amazing it was, but I will try!

There were 8 different saunas and four pools and waterways.  We “sauna hopped” with Chelsea and Aaron, and they were just incredible. Click on the highlighted words to read more about them! My personal favourite was the Aqua Meditation Sauna (30 degrees C)  and the Rose Sauna (38 degrees C).  After the saunas we hit the pools which were equally amazing!

The main pool has crystals in the ceiling that are lit up and twinkle like stars…it was GORGEOUS! The outdoor pool is an infinity edge pool, and we decided to brave the cold and go in! I am so glad we did because it was snowing! It was so amazing swimming outside while it’s snowing…it felt so magical!  We headed back in to warm up in the hot tub. On our way out, we tried the Kneipp waterway. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it was amazing! It is a waterway that you walk through. The water came up to just below my knees (so just above most people’s knees! haha), and the first waterway was warm hot tub temperature. You then step over a divider into FREEZING water! It was such a shock! After quickly going through that waterway, you step into even hotter water than the first! Your legs burn and tingle at the same time!  Then to end it off you step into the coldest water I have ever been in! It was so cold! After walking through though I definitly felt energized, and more awake!

After that the guys headed back to the saunas and Chelsea and I sat in the tea room on the most comfortable chairs ever!

After that we headed back up to our rooms to get ready for the dinner and party! Marco managed to get some pictures of me gettng ready! It felt so good to get all dressed up and not be in Mommy mode for one night!

Cocktail hour was gorgeous, the dinner was amazing, the dessert was to die for! I definitly had seconds of dessert! (surprise surprise hey! haha)

The chandeliers in the dining hall were all in the shape of maple leaves!

After dinner, we headed back up to Crystal and Nathans room. Crystal is one of the amazing secretary’s at IG, and her and Nathan are so fun! We hung out in their room until almost 2, after a pizza delivery (too long of a story to include here! All I will say was the pizza was SO worth the wait!) We headed back to our rooms and fell asleep!

The next morning we woke up to a foot of new snow! :) And greatly enjoyed the rest of our morning! It was a fantastic stay, and Marco and I are definitly going to go again!!!! Anyone wanna come with us?!
