Tyson and Shelby: Sunset Beach Engagement Photographer

This blog post makes me soooo excited to be able to finally post!! Tyson is my baby cousin! Yes, he’s now a grown man and engaged to a GORGEOUS girl, but he will always be my baby cousin!

He is the first cousin I remember being born! He is the first cousin I remember as a baby. The first cousin I remember being excited about getting and then realizing babies aren’t really as much fun as I thought they would be. Thankfully he grew up and got the best mullet I’ve ever seen ;) He started playing hockey and it was always a highlight for us when his team would play my brothers and we got to go watch them together!

Tyson loves trucks, country music, and he’s followed in his Dad’s footsteps for his career in construction. He has been to more NASCAR races than anyone I know and he adores Shelby.

Shelby, Shelby, Shelby. I’ve been calling her my cousin for YEARS already because she pretty much already is. Her and Tyson have gone to school since Kindergarten together, and have been dating for 7 years! She’s definitely a part of the family already and we all knew it was only a matter of time before Tyson popped the question!

Well this last March, we all got an excited text from either my Aunt, Tyson’s sister or Shelby…or maybe all three! haha and this instagram popped up in all our newsfeeds!! He had asked her infront of the castle in Disneyland!!!

Shelby and I started planning engagement photos within a few weeks of having that ring on her finger, and we both knew it would only be right to do their photos at the beach where my Aunt and Uncle had been camping with the kids for YEARS. The weather was gorgeous, and I can see why my Aunty Debbie calls it her special place and gets goosebumps as she drives in! The sunset was perfect, Marco and I brought the kids to run around and play in the sand while we did photos, and my Aunty ran to get ice cream and popsicles for the kids!

I am SOOOO excited for their wedding next July!!! (Brace yourself Shelby, it’s the first family wedding where neither I, or either of my sisters are in the wedding party….be prepared for some wine drinking/dancing cousins!!)
