Briscoe Manor Wedding: Kevin and Megan

Kevin and Megan are two of my most favourite people. They were the first proposal I ever photographed in Banff, and getting to be a part of. I skyped with Kevin a few times before the big day and loved him right away! He lit up when he talked about Megan and he was SO excited to propose!! The day of the proposal was AMAZING! The day of the proposal, I fell in love with these two even more!! These two are adventurous, down to earth, warm, and so easy to talk to! Doing their engagement photos right after Kevin proposed brought a whole new level of emotion. I was so sad to part ways with them and we all swore we’d keep in touch!

Keep in touch they did! Megan emailed me a few weeks later asking if I would be up for photographing their wedding….UMMMM YES!! Getting to be a part of the proposal right through to their wedding was incredible. It made Marco and I feel like we were headed to a friends wedding! Briscoe Manor was an incredible venue and I felt like we were in a movie!! They got married a week before Christmas and it was the perfect mix of holiday festive fancy party and cozy celebration. It was so elegant and family oriented, and their family and friends welcomed us immediately!!

One of my favourite parts of the entire day was when all of their close college friends got together in a line and sung their college fight song. It was AMAZING to witness!!! I love how large of a group they had their and how passionately they all sang it together! Afterwards, they ended off their reception with a dance just the two of them. The room was empty, lights dimmed and it was just them. The then excited to tossed rose petals and everyone was grins and tears as they drove away!!

Kevin and Megan, THANK YOU so much for having Marco and I as a part of your entire journey!! Getting to know you guys from pre-proposal right up to husband and wife has been amazing!! Thank you for the Christmas card this year!! You made us feel like family and we are so grateful for you two!! Love you guys!!
