Crescent Beach Engagement Photographer: Conn and Francesca

Francesca and I are so much alike it’s funny! We went to highschool together for two years in grade 8 and 9 and I always loved her! We lost touch a bit other than the occasional “likes” on Facebook until she got engaged!!

We met for coffee and easily chatted like old friends!! I love coffee dates where the conversation dives right into the good stuff! She introduced me to the word “Schmaltzy” after we talked about how sentimental we both were. A teacher in highschool had called her that when she was looking for one word that best described her. I told her I was borrowing it for my word too. It means “excessively sentimental.”

We went back and forth on planning their engagement photos whether we would do an adventurous or more sentimental choice for locations. When I heard their story of when they first started dating I knew we had to go for sentimentality! Francesca had just gotten out of a serious relationship and it was a bit of a faux pas for these two to be together at the time, so rather than create any drama, they just met secretly at parks and the beach, each telling their parents they were “taking the dog for a walk.” And they did. Just together :)

So we did a tour of all their secret first dating spots and it was so fun to see them together at each one! We started in downtown Cloverdale, hung a hammock in Redwood Park, and ended at Crescent Beach for sunset. These two are so passionate about each other!! It didn’t matter if I was posing them or not, they were always touching, always going in for little kisses and always making each other laugh!

We bonded over a mutual love of lifting and fitness, and food!! We ended the night at the Frozen Yogurt place and had the best time discussing flavour options!

Conn and Francesca, I CAN’T WAIT for your wedding!!! I had the best time and hope we can continue to have Frozen Yogurt and dinner dates long after your wedding!! :)

Conn definitely works out! haha he climbed up the rope so fast and held onto the tree with ONE ARM while he untied the knot that hung the hammock!

If you know these two, or loved their photos, hit “like” below or leave them some love and congrats in the comments!
