Styled Shoot

I have been wanting to and dreaming of putting together a styled shoot for the past 6 months or so. When I presented the idea to my sister Chantale (a wedding planner) she was so excited! We tossed ideas back and forth for a few weeks before we finally decided on a theme.

We had it planned for early May. We had lots of ideas put together but it wasn’t 100% perfect. I am a bit of a perfectionist, and I just wasn’t feeling confident about the shoot. I felt there were still a few things missing.

Well I believe things happen for a reason, because the day of the styled shoot it poured. Not the light, misty rain, but the feel like you might drown rain. We rescheduled for mid June and over those next few weeks a new business was introduced to me through a friend and they were the one thing needed to complete the shoot.

So last Saturday Chantale organized and designed the table, and WOW did she ever exceed my expectations! The table decor and details were way better than what I pictured in my head. The location was perfect, the lighting was gorgeous, I was so excited!

Makeup was done by the oh so talented Becky of “Make It Up”, hair was done by my other amazingly talented sister Monique, our models were Delayne and Jeremy Siemens, rentals were donated by Classic Party Rentals, and Trove Vintage Rentals,  table flowers were provided by “The Secret Garden” and our gorgeous bouquet was provided by Adrienne Ritchie. THANK YOU so so SO much for all your hard work….I can’t wait to show it off!

My amazing 2nd shooter was Tanis! It was so so so great to have her along! My brain was going a mile a minute, I was stressed it wouldn’t work out, I was nervous it would look awful and no one would like it. I kept thinking the night before what if I am not good enough to put together a styled shoot yet? What if it looks amateur? What if it looks disorganized? What if the theme doesn’t work out at all? What if? What if? What if? All my fears were getting to me and having Tanis there along with my sister Chantale, and my hubby Marco calmed me down and I am so amazed by the results. I am so proud of everyone who helped out. I am so glad I overcame my fear and just did it. I am so grateful God pushed me to challenge myself. THANK YOU!

Here is one photo of how our gorgeous models looked! “The Time Travellers Wife” is one of my favourite  books…their love story is inspiring. I loved the pose on the front cover of the movie and have always wanted to try it out in a photoshoot….so I used it as the base of our styled shoot and it looked gorgeous!

Once again THANK YOU so much to everyone that donated their time, and helped us put this together. I loved working with all of you! It was such a great experience, and words can’t describe how grateful I am!

More photos coming very soon!!! :) I have been swamped with photoshoots this week, so once I organize myself, I will start sorting through photos and share some more!
