Couples Favourites of 2014

This year in both weddings and couples sessions, I really embraced my adventurous side and surprised myself with how much I loved it! I discovered I am happiest when I am exploring, going a bit further than I have before, discovering new places, and planning to get lost a bit. I am so beyond grateful that my couples were up for the adventures! Once I started putting it out there, so many of you suggested ideas, and locations for sessions that I never would have even thought of! We got a bit dirty (okay mostly me…I tend to lay down in the dirt to get that perfect angle, and I always forget to watch for puddles!) along the way, and definitely have some fun stories, but they are memories I will cherish and stories I will share for years!

The places my couples have taken me this year are spectacular….from the top of a volcano, wading through a river in the Rocky Mountains, splashing in 6 different lakes, hiking in the middle of a forest and quadding up to the top of a forest service road. From hiking up to a suspension bridge, cuddling under a magnolia tree, hiking out to the middle of a lupine field, and exploring Granville Island after hours, it’s been an adventurous year that I still can’t believe all happened!

Earlier this year, I decided to specialize in photographing only couples. Engagements, weddings, rewear the dress and weddings! It was the BEST decision ever! I have never been happier and I get to work with some of the BEST couples that are such an inspiration to my and my marriage!! When I first made that choice to work with couples, I had no idea it would lead me to the year I just finished. I feel so honored to get to call each and everyone of these couples friends. I seriously can honestly say you are all my favourite ;)
