Anna and Jakub are the lucky winners of the wedding package I gave away through Weddingsinbc this past May! I was so excited that these two won! Firstly cause they are amazing, and secondly because I went to highschool for two years with Anna’s older sister! :)

Jakub and Anna met back in grade 9 through a mutual friend, but lost touch until Grade 11 when Jakub transferred to Anna’s school. The would occasionally say hi in the hallway but not much else. It wasn’t until New Years Eve 2007 that everything changed! They hung out that night, and then every night that week, and have been inseperable ever since!

Jakub proposed one evening on a date night in Vancouver. Anna remembers them pulling in to a sketchy looking parking lot and having no idea what was going on. Anna is downright terrified of elevators so when they got on the first elevator she was beyond nervous! Once in the lobby Anna saw a sign that read “elevators to revolving restaurant” and her heart skipped a beat! Everything from there was a blur for both of them!

Jakub had planned all along to propose in the elevator, knowing of Anna’s fear of them, he had hoped to give her a positive experience in one! They got in the glass elevator and as soon as they had a view of the Vancouver lights he got down on one knee and popped the question! After Anna said yes they both developed a severe case of the giggles and spent the rest of the night laughing! :)

We met for their engagement pictures at Anna’s parents property in Abbotsford! They had so much more snow than the rest of Abbotsford and I was SO EXCITED! Even more excited when I saw the sign, and heard the ideas these two had! They were up for anything, sitting in the snow, laying in the snow, even throwing the snow!
