Larry and Jessica: Kettle Valley Railway Engagement Session

I met Jessica for coffee a few months back in Kelowna to chat about her wedding day…we ended up talking for almost two hours! She has a son around the same age as mine so we chatted wedding, and Mommyhood and everything in between!

We met at The Kettle Valley Railway in Kelowna and I was so excited to shoot there! I hadn’t been there since I was little, and was looking forward to seeing the rebuilt trestles after they had been burnt down in the 2003 fires.  It was a GORGEOUS day in Kelowna, the buds were starting to open on the trees, the sun was shining, it was amazing weather! As we were driving up, there were spots here and there of snow. I began to get a bit worried! At the top there was a solid 4 inches+ of snow! haha I was shocked! So was Marco! Neither of us thought it was high enough for there to still be snow! Larry and Jessica did an amazing job in the snow! Jessica switched into her Mom’s shoes, and Aaden had a blast running through the snowy trails!

Thanks for an amazing afternoon! :) I can’t wait until your wedding next year! Thanks for braving the snow with me!

**Be sure to check out their wedding website to see their slideshow!

The burnt trees were a bit eery….

Marco and I got there about half an hour early to scout out spots, and this sign made me SO nervous! Especially when we heard shots a few moments later!
