Miles and Victoria: Chilliwack Engagement Session

Victoria has a special place in my heart :) She first emailed me after my last website launch with the kindest, energetic email expressing her support! I instantly fell in love with her! She said she couldn’t wait to get engaged and have me as a part of her wedding. We kept in touch and just last summer I got an email filled with the most exclamation points I have ever seen! You could feel her excitement in every word as she described how Miles proposed!

Although I had met them both briefly while camping at 70 Mile with mutual friends years before, I was so looking forward to getting to meet her again and get to know her better! We met for coffee and these two are so easy to talk to. Victoria is bubbly and vibrant, and whenever she gets the chance she talks about how amazing Miles is. We talked for over an hour on ideas for where to do their engagement photos! With both our experience camping at 70 Mile, we both instantly knew it would be something outdoors, exploring, and most definitely with the quads.

I became obsessed with google earth and forest service roads. I spent hours trying to find good ones. I researched # on instagram trying to find out where people went, and I friended a few avid hikers in Chilliwack and asked their advice. After getting a good list of about 12 forest service roads, I finally said screw it and closed my eyes and pointed. Mt. Slesse Forest Service Road it was. It did not disappoint.

My only regret was that we didn’t head out earlier. We started to lose light and had to turn back far too early in my opinion! We were out for two hours, and all 3 of us kept saying “just one more corner”….but every corner kept having the most gorgeous views. The mountains kept getting higher, the trees more spectacular, and me and Victoria share this need to find out where the road ends. I am still dying to drive down that road and figure out where it ends. I just gotta know!

Between exploring, we did find moments to snap a few photos here and there ;) Going on adventures with couples is definitely my new favourite thing. It’s such an amazing way to get to know each other! I feel like I have been friends with them both for years, and am so looking forward to celebrating their wedding with them in April!
