Pam and Ray: Langley Wedding 06.18.2011

This wedding means so much to  me! I went to elementary school with Pam from Kindergarten to Grade 7. I still remember meeting her that first day of Kindergarten so many years ago! We quickly became best friends and did just about everything together. From class projects, to grade 7 camp we did it together. Pam even threw my going away party when I moved from Delta to Abbotsford. I still have the gorgeous card she made and got everyone to sign. Because of this I was more than excited when Pam emailed me to tell me she was getting married and that she wanted me to shoot her wedding. I almost cried. Honestly. I was so so SO excited!

It was so good to see her again at her engagement session that we did this past January in White Rock. We sat for coffee after and just talked and talked and talked. If Ray hadn’t been there to remind us we both had to go, we probably would have chatted all night! It was like no time had passed!

Pam and Ray are amazing together. So in love. The way Ray looks at Pam is so inspiring. I am so beyond happy to see Pam so happy. It means the world to me.

Their wedding day was rainy. It started off so gray, and wet. I was a tad worried! I arrived at Pam’s parents place praying the rain would stop soon!

Pam’s dress is beyond stunning. I am slightly in love with it!

Pam and I are both the same height! Around 6 feet, so Pam had these gorgeous flats from Aldo!

Both Pam’s brother John and Ray had all the girls in tears the morning of. Both sent the most touching cards, and gifts over for Pam.

The bracelet Pam wore belonged to her Mom.

I was also so excited to see Pam’s bridesmaids! Pam’s sister Alisa was her maid of honor and Stephanie here on the left was in Guides with me for 3 years! It was so good to see her again!

GORGEOUS! When Pam saw herself in the mirror for the first time she commented, “Man I look good!”

Pam’s parents to me look EXACTLY the same! I remember them yelling at us for running from the hot tub to the pool in Pam’s backyard…tracking water through the house and almost falling numerous times! I don’t blame them! I am sure we kept them up until the wee hours of the morning with our many many many sleepovers!

Thanks Tanis for catching these photos of the guys getting ready!

oh do I ever love this church. I literally grew up in this church! All of my siblings and I were baptized here, our elementary school was on the same property as the church so all of our school masses were held here! I so love this church! It meant so much to me to be there!

When I met with Pam before the wedding she mentioned that her VIP (Very Important Picture) was to get Ray’s face when he first saw her walking down the aisle. So I had Tanis catch Pam, while I focused on Ray.

As Pam and Ray walked down the aisle the sun started to peak out! :)

The Church. Immaculate Conception Catholic Parish.

From there we headed over to Sendall Gardens in Langley for the photos.

Pam’s brother John brought a little something to keep everyone warm.

The heart on the tree said “Marry Me”

Their wedding party was so SO fun! Their ideas for photos kept everyone laughing!

The guys kept asking me before every photo,  “What do we do with our hands?” to which I replied all the time, “In your pockets” This photo was to mock me I think….

Thanks Tanis for catching this one!
