oh boy do I love these two. I photographed their engagement photos back in February before I had our daughter, and totally hit it off! Their session took a bit longer than normal because we couldn’t stop talking!

I was even MORE thrilled when they asked Marco and I to photograph their destination wedding this May! :) We were so excited!!! I knew Marco and Dan would hit it off too! :)

A few months after we had booked their wedding, Emily emailed asking if they would be able to book a maternity session in the Fall! They were HAVING A BABY!!! :) And a BABY GIRL!!! :) We went for coffee a few weeks later to chat about their wedding, and being pregnant and just babies in general….and I was totally right, Marco and Dan did hit it off! ;)

Fast foward to the end of August, Emily asked if we could do their maternity photos a little bit earlier than planned, because her Mom was in town! So we headed out to a spot I found in Abbotsford and she had tons of fun ideas!! (Emily and I may be fellow Pinterest addicts!) Again we spent the entire time chatting away about pregnancy, and babies, and life in general…..until Dan finally said “why don’t you two exchange numbers so you can text!”….he’s so clever :)

Just over a week later, Emily text to say that her water had broken early, and she was headed to the hospital to try to keep their baby girl in just a bit longer. A few days later Austin Rose was born! She was 9 weeks premature, 3lbs 12oz, and a fighter! Dan text me a few photos, and I was all misty eyed (ok there were full on tears) and I prayed mighty hard for that little girl! And this baby girl is GORRRRRGEOUS. (though I knew she would be with parents this good lookin!)

She is now 5 weeks old, almost 6lbs and sooooo close to being ready to go home!! I am SOOOOO excited to get to hopefully meet her soon and get some family photos of them to show off! :)

Dan and Emily I am so SOOO grateful to be able to call you guys friends! I can’t wait for our daughters to meet, and to take them on girls shopping trips one day! (brace yourselves Dan and Marco! haha) CONGRATS!!! :)
