Meg Meg Meg. Where do I begin! She is tiny, gorgeous, and so full of happiness and energy you can’t help but want to spend more and more time with her!

How I came to meet her is a funny facebook story. I met Janine Sept at the Jamie Delaine workshop I attended last June. After the workshop I started stalking everyone that attended, checked out their work. I was so drawn to Janine’s. Shortly after Janine posted this amazing video of her and her 2nd shooter (Meagan!) dancing t0 “Everything” by Pitbull and Neyo. This video was HILARIOUS! I wish I could link it!

Wow this story is making me sound like the ultimate CREEEEEEPER…..from that video I found Meg Courtney on Facebook….followed that to her website….and started reading her blog! Out of the blue I decided to send her an email and tell her how amazing I thought her work was! She emailed back shortly after and when she saw I lived in the Okanagan, told me she was moving here in a few months! So I did the obvious thing and invited her out for coffee! :)

She is the best! We had the best coffee date, and have hung out occasionally ever since! With both of us being newer to Kelowna, we still don’t know too many people and it’s so nice to have other photographers as friends :)

Last week the weather was NUTSO…thick THICK fog would roll in at night, and the temperatures would drop to -5 to -8….which in the morning left the ENTIRE WORLD (well in Kelowna anyways) covered with a super thick, oh so pretty frost! Meg emailed me that morning and said Ihad to come up to visit so we could take pics! Luca had already gone down for his nap, but I drove up to her place the next day and we hung out, she made me amazing soup, and we of course took tons of ridiculous pictures!

Meg is insanely fast and already blogged hers! Head on over to her blog to CHECK IT OUT! She had me in tears reading it….I was a blubbery mess! I told you she is the sweetest person ever! I want to walk right into her website, and hang out with her on the beach all day….(and in the words of our other close friend Lindsay Gee….sit and spend hours brushing that gorgeous gorgeous hair of hers!)

Meg I am so glad I met you! So glad I emailed you that day! So glad to have someone so amazing in my life!! Seriously the people this job has brought into my life is ridiculously ridiculous! The most incredible people who inspire me, who push me to be and do better, who have become some of the BEST friends I have ever had. Meg you are one of them!!! I can’t wait to work together this year hopefully….even if it is just shooting each other! Thank you for being amazing, thank you for being you, thank you for being a great friend, and thanks for making me the best soup ever! Seriously I am making it this week I am craving it again! :)

Just a reminder that my camera and lens weigh a couple lbs so photos of us were really hard to take….hence the MASSIVE double chin!
